I've used Berkley Trilene since 1980 and have reeled in over $1,000,000 worth of bass since then using Berkley fishing lines. The Berkley Fishing Line products now include many choices to meet any fishing situation. I use Trilene 100% flourocarbon for most of my deep, bottom techniques. It is invisible to fish, while being very visible to the angler above water. Berkley MAXX is the most advanced monofilament for fishing tough conditions. It is tough enough for the roughest cover and still manageable on long casts. I can drag spinnerbaits, or flip jigs in heavy cover all day long and it holds up to the punishment. For cranking, topwater and spinning lures, I use Berkley Sensation. It is the strongest, small diameter line for these techniques. When I need a super line, I turn to SpiderLine Stealth or the newer, slicker Ultra-Cast. They both are amazingly fishable and will pull the biggest bass from the heaviest cover without fail. Berkley makes a line for every technique, helping me “Catch More Fish”.

Since the inception of Berkley Power Baits, I have used them to entice bass into the boat. I know that Power Bait is going to perform its magic any time I get it around the fish. With the new shapes, colors and sizes there is a Power Bait for every fishing situation. I know that when a bass bites, he won't let my Power Bait go, allowing easier and more efficient hook-sets. The new colors and shapes like the Chigger Craw and Sabre-Tail Burly Bug are designed with fishermen in mind and will work for you.

The newest innovation from Berkley is its GULP line of non-plastic soft lures. I have used this product since its inception to maximize my opportunity to catch bass in the toughest conditions. I like the GULP's fishability and the fact that it is bio-degradable. This water-based product puts up to 400 times more scent and flavor attractant into the water than ordinary soft plastic baits. Berkley continues to improve the GULP formula making it my choice for difficult fishing conditions. The new GULP ALIVE bucket of baits is a great addition to this an awesome lure category.

Rapala makes the finest hard baits available. My favorites include the DT series that entail all that a crankbait should be. They come in a variety of fish-catching colors and sizes to catch bass from anywhere they live. Check out the new DT Fat Series. It is the latest, greatest from Rapala. Another favorite Rapala is the new X-Rap series. It is the finest suspending jerkbait yet devised. It casts like a rock and gets to fish-catching depth and stays there. I never go fishing without my original floating Rapalas. I catch bass with them year-round and across the country

I used a Storm Short Wart to win the 1991 Bassmasters Classic. The complete line of Wiggle Warts is a mainstay in my tackle arsenal today. The newly re-introduced "original" Wiggle Warts work in the same searching way the older ones do and will find fish when no other crankbait will work. The Rattlin' Chug Bug is my favorite topwater lure of all time. If bass want something on top, I can always count on my Chug Bug to catch 'em. The new Big Bass Series have become a favorite crankbait as well. They have unique shapes and vibration patterns that seem to work in stained to muddy water conditions.

I have found the ultimate angler’s sunglasses. My Costa del Mar Harpoons are available with built-in “readers” for my aging eyes. This is a great feature that allows me to see what I am casting as well as tie difficult knots without changing glasses.
